What is a virtual school?
Although many virtual schools are simply 'online' schools, a Lincolnshire Children's University virtual school is an institution (e.g. a children's centre) which has a regular group of young attendees, which we treat like a school.

What does this mean?
LCU virtual schools are treated like normal schools. This means that they can sell passports to the children that they work with, and are required to pay a membership fee. The children that they sell passports to can then get stamps in their passport for every validated learning activity that goes on in the virtual school, as well as visiting public learning destinations. Once these children collect enough stamps in their passports (30hrs for Undergraduate Bronze award), they will be invited to an LCU graduation ceremony, complete with a cap and gown!
